Some Assembly Required

Just like that Swedish furniture company we all know, most of our furniture will arrive unassembled. The cost of shipping fully assembled furniture prohibits doing business any other way. But have no fear! We, too, have dealt with cryptic instructions and a hundred different types of screws and nuts that all look pretty much the same, but are not interchangeable. We do a few things differently!

Some Assembly Required

First, we do our very best to minimize the number of parts. Most of our furniture pieces have no more than 10 wood pieces. We also use as few different types of hardware as we can, plus we ship our hardware with all the washers and nuts attached to their corresponding bolts. You don't need to spend an hour trying to figure out which piece of hardware goes where. For example, our St. Andrew's Cross has seven wood parts, and three bolts with their washers and nuts, and three hinge pins. One of those bolts is obviously twice the length of the other two. Pretty easy to figure out which is which, right?

Next, we provide very detailed step by step instructions with lots of illustrations. Further, we give the parts and instructions to people who are not particularly good at assembling furniture to see how well the instructions work before you ever see them. It's our job to give you clear directions. Not your job to figure out badly written ones!
